Fire protection company

We protect your organisation's people and property

The sooner a fire is detected, the easier it is to fight. That is why we combine detection systems to discover a fire before it can spread and, where the risk requires it, pair them with manual or automatic suppression systems.

Each project is tailor-made, taking into account your organisation's activity and surroundings, and adapted to the building's design and architecture. We do not stop at detection: we also tackle firefighting with water mist and aerosol suppression systems, and we keep innovating to offer an integrated range of protection.

Fire protection services

The entire life cycle of your fire protection installation

From the first study of the building to the inspections required by the regulations year after year.

Design and engineering

We study the building's use, its risks and the applicable regulations, and design the detection and suppression system it needs.

Installation and commissioning

We install, configure and test the system, adapting it to the building's design and architecture so that it is as unobtrusive as possible.

Maintenance to RIPCI

Periodic inspections in line with the maintenance programmes of the Spanish Fire Protection Installations Regulation, with their documentation.

Inspection of existing installations

We diagnose the condition of your installation, manage the repairs and provide a detailed report with improvement proposals.

Systems

Fire detection and suppression systems we install

A wide range of systems to detect fire, alert people and extinguish it, manually or automatically.

Detection and alarm

Control panels, detectors and sounders. When a fire is detected, the system activates and gives a visual and audible alarm.

  • Conventional systems grouped by detection zones
  • Addressable systems that identify each detector individually, common in large buildings
  • Manual call points and sirens

Detectors

We choose the type of detector according to the risk and the space to be protected.

  • Smoke detection
  • Flame detection
  • Heat detectors
  • Carbon monoxide detection

Special detection

For spaces where a point detector is not the best option.

  • Aspirating smoke detection
  • Infrared detection
  • Bespoke solutions for industrial environments

Automatic suppression

Systems that act on the source of the fire without human intervention.

  • Water mist
  • Aerosol suppression

Manual firefighting

Equipment that enables people to act in the first moments.

  • Portable fire extinguishers
  • Fire hose reels (BIE)

Other RIPCI systems

Installations that complete the building's protection according to its use and risk.

  • Automatic water sprinklers
  • Fire hydrants
  • Dry risers

Regulations

Fire protection maintenance under the RIPCI

Royal Decree 513/2017 of 22 May approves the Fire Protection Installations Regulation (RIPCI). It governs the design, installation, maintenance and inspection of active fire protection equipment and systems.

Minimum maintenance programmes (Annex II)

  1. Every three months Maintenance company or the installation owner's staff
  2. Every six months Maintenance company or the installation owner's staff
  3. Every year Maintenance company
  4. Every five years Maintenance company

The operations at each inspection depend on the system: detection and alarm, extinguishers, fire hose reels, hydrants, dry risers, sprinklers or suppression systems.

Other obligations of the owner

  • Contract installation and maintenance to authorised installation and maintenance companies.
  • Keep the documentation of the inspections carried out.
  • Where not governed by specific regulations, have the installation inspected by an accredited inspection body at least every ten years.
  • Take extinguishers out of service twenty years after their manufacture.

We help you plan these obligations and keep your installation's documentation up to date.

Methodology

How we run a fire protection project

  1. Analysis

We gather information about the building and its surroundings: use, occupancy, risks and applicable regulations.

  2. Design

We design the detection, alarm and suppression system suited to that risk.

  3. Installation

Our team installs, configures and tests the system we have designed.

  4. Documentation

We hand over the installation's technical documentation and user training.

  5. Maintenance

Periodic inspections under the RIPCI and incident response.

In addition to complying with the RIPCI, every building must comply with the fire safety regulations that apply to its use: the Basic Document on Fire Safety (DB SI) of the Spanish Technical Building Code or, for industrial establishments, the Fire Safety Regulation for Industrial Establishments (Royal Decree 2267/2004).

Sectors

Fire protection for every type of building

Public buildings

Town halls, administrative offices, libraries and municipal facilities.

Universities and schools

Buildings with high occupancy and very different uses on the same campus.

Healthcare facilities

Facilities where early detection and orderly evacuation are critical.

Industry

Industrial buildings and processes with specific risks that call for bespoke detection and suppression.

Car parks

Carbon monoxide and fire detection in enclosed car parks.

Businesses and residential buildings

Offices, commercial premises and residential buildings that must keep their installations up to date.

CMMS and customer portal

Your fire protection maintenance, documented and in plain view

We manage maintenance with a CMMS we developed ourselves: the inspection schedule is generated from the contract at the RIPCI intervals, the technician checks every extinguisher, detector or fire hose reel with a checklist on their phone and, at the end, the system generates the inspection report and certificate.

  • Inventory of every item: extinguishers, detectors, fire hose reels, control panels and pump sets
  • Tracking of extinguisher pressure testing and end of service life
  • Inspection report and certificate generated and sent by email
  • Requests, job reports, preventive maintenance schedule and documents in your customer portal

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about fire protection

How often do fire protection systems need to be inspected?

Royal Decree 513/2017 (RIPCI) sets out the minimum maintenance programmes in its Annex II: some operations every three and every six months, which can be carried out by a maintenance company or by the installation owner's staff, and others every year and every five years, which must be carried out by a maintenance company. The specific operations depend on each type of system.

Who can install and maintain a fire protection system?

The RIPCI requires installation and maintenance to be carried out by authorised installation and maintenance companies. Only some quarterly and six-monthly operations can be carried out by the owner's own staff.

How often must the installation be inspected?

In addition to maintenance, where inspection is not governed by specific regulations, the owner must have its active fire protection installations inspected by an accredited inspection body at least every ten years.

What is the service life of a fire extinguisher?

Under the RIPCI, extinguishers must be taken out of service twenty years after their date of manufacture. During that time they need their periodic inspections and pressure tests every five years.

What is the difference between a conventional and an addressable detection system?

In a conventional system, detectors are grouped into zones: the control panel shows which zone has an alarm. In an addressable system, each detector is identified individually, making it possible to pinpoint the exact location, which is why it is usually installed in large buildings.

Which area do you cover?

We design, install and maintain fire protection systems mainly in Andalusia, from our headquarters in Peligros (Granada). Contact us about projects in other areas.

Is your fire protection installation up to date?

We check its condition, explain what the RIPCI requires in your case and propose a maintenance plan.
