Bespoke video surveillance

A project tailored to what you need to monitor

Video surveillance systems are a tool to protect, monitor and deter in the environments you want to safeguard. And they are not only used to reduce crime or identify whoever caused damage: they are also installed to monitor processes, manage stock, monitor traffic, recognise number plates or watch perimeters.

We analyse your case personally and develop a fully bespoke project that is simple and easy to use for whoever operates it every day.

Systems

Video surveillance equipment we install

We combine cameras, recording and viewing according to the space, the available light and how you will use the images.

Fixed cameras

Continuously monitor specific points and can be controlled remotely.

  • Night vision
  • Motion detection
  • Indoor and outdoor

PTZ cameras

Let you pan the camera and zoom in from the control station to follow what is happening.

  • Remote pan, tilt and zoom
  • Large spaces with few cameras
  • Sites and car parks

Infrared and outdoor

For perimeters and unlit areas, where a conventional camera cannot see enough.

  • Infrared cameras
  • Outdoor cameras
  • Perimeters of sites and industrial buildings

Recording

Recorders with flexible, cost-effective storage, sized for the retention period set by law.

  • Continuous or event-based recording
  • Image search and export
  • Erasure within the legal time limit

Remote viewing and control

It is a closed circuit: images are viewed on authorised monitors, computers or mobile devices.

  • Local control station
  • Secure remote access
  • Users with per-camera permissions

Number plate recognition

Number plate recognition at vehicle entrances, integrated with our CRONOS software.

  • Car park and site barriers
  • Entry and exit log
  • Gatehouse console with video

Regulations

Video surveillance and data protection

Images of identifiable people are personal data. Every video surveillance system must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), Article 22 of which governs processing for video surveillance purposes.

  • Art. 22.1 LOPDGDD

    Purpose

Processing images in order to preserve the safety of people and property, as well as of facilities.

  • Art. 22.2 LOPDGDD

    Public roads

May only be captured to the extent strictly necessary for that purpose.

  • Art. 22.3 LOPDGDD

    Retention

Images are erased within a maximum of one month from capture, unless they must be kept to prove acts that threaten the integrity of people, property or facilities. In that case, they are made available to the competent authority within a maximum of 72 hours.

  • Art. 22.4 LOPDGDD

    Information sign

An information notice placed in a sufficiently visible location identifying, at least, the existence of the processing, the identity of the controller and the possibility of exercising the rights under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR.

  • Art. 89 LOPDGDD

    Workplace monitoring

Prior, express, clear and concise information to employees. Cameras are never installed in changing rooms, toilets, canteens or similar places.

  • Art. 30 GDPR

    Record

The processing is included in the controller's record of processing activities.

Indicative summary: each obligation is defined by the text of the LOPDGDD and the GDPR. The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) publishes guidance on the use of video cameras with a model sign.

Methodology

How we run a video surveillance project

  1. Survey

We visit the space and define what needs to be monitored, for what purpose and at what times.

  2. Design

Position and field of view of each camera, recording and viewing stations.

  3. Installation

Installation, cabling and configuration of cameras, recorders and users.

  4. Commissioning

Testing, information sign, documentation and user training.

  5. Maintenance

Scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance, with every job report in your customer portal.

Integrated security

Video surveillance, connected to the rest of your security

We design security as a whole: cameras provide the image that confirms what the other systems detect.

CMMS and customer portal

Your video surveillance, maintained and in plain view

Our in-house CMMS organises our technicians' work, and from your customer portal you can see every camera or recorder incident, its priority, its status and how long we take to respond and resolve it.

  • You log requests from the portal and follow their priority, status and jobs
  • Response and resolution times recorded for each request
  • Preventive maintenance schedule, inventory, installation map and documents
  • Job reports signed on a phone, as PDFs with a SHA-256 hash and sent by email

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about video surveillance

How long can recordings be kept?

Article 22 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection (LOPDGDD) states that images must be erased within a maximum of one month from capture, unless they must be kept to prove acts that threaten the integrity of people, property or facilities. In that case they must be made available to the competent authority within a maximum of 72 hours.

Is a CCTV warning sign mandatory?

Yes. The existence of the system must be made known by means of an information notice placed in a sufficiently visible location identifying, at least, the existence of the processing, the identity of the controller and the possibility of exercising data protection rights. The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) publishes a model sign.

Can cameras record public roads?

Only to the extent strictly necessary for the system's security purpose. We plan the position and field of view of each camera to avoid capturing more public space than necessary.

Can the cameras be viewed remotely?

Yes. IP cameras can be viewed and controlled remotely from authorised computers or mobile devices, with secure access and per-user permissions.

Can video surveillance be integrated with the alarm and access control?

Yes. Cameras make it possible to visually verify intruder alarms and to link images to access control events. With CRONOS, number plates are also read at car park and site barriers.

What maintenance does a video surveillance system need?

Scheduled preventive inspections of the condition of cameras and recorders, camera views and recording, and repairs when something fails. Everything is recorded in our CMMS and you can check it from your customer portal. More information in security systems maintenance.

Do you want to monitor a building, a site or a car park?

We survey the space, propose where to position the cameras and take care of installation and maintenance.
