What is it? Smart access

CRONOS is our comprehensive access and car park management system: it gives managers accurate data on access to their sites and car parks, with centralised, real-time monitoring.

It integrates hardware such as barriers, kiosks and ANPR cameras with intuitive, configurable software. Its strength is flexibility: because we develop it entirely in-house, it adapts to each installation and evolves with each client's needs.

CRONOS, formerly ATISCAM, grew out of an in-house R&D line we have been working on since 2010: number plate recognition for car park access through barrier airlocks.

Number plate recognition, the web application and the boards that control the barriers all come from our custom software development and custom hardware and electronics lines.

Smooth vehicle flow: the driver identifies themselves, the barrier opens and the manager sees everything from a single point.

Identification

An ANPR camera reads the number plate (OCR) on arrival at the barrier, or users present their RFID or Mifare card.
Immediate opening

The system checks whether they are authorised for that entrance at that time and the automatic barrier opens.
Real-time monitoring

Every passage is logged and the gatehouse staff see access events live from a centralised console.

Works with single barriers and double-barrier airlocks, at one or several entrances.

Number plates and images processed with safeguards

An access control system records number plates, identities and images. CRONOS protects data with HTTPS, encryption and daily backups, and is developed and maintained with the same safeguards as the rest of our software.

Frequently asked questions About access control with number plate recognition

How does access control with number plate recognition work?

A camera reads the vehicle's number plate as it arrives at the barrier, the system checks whether it is authorised for that entrance at that time and, if so, gives the order to open. Every entry and exit is logged.

What happens if the number plate cannot be read?

Users can identify themselves with their RFID card and, in any case, gatehouse staff see the access live from the console and can open the barrier.

Is it suitable for sites with several entrances or several campuses?

Yes. CRONOS manages several entrances and sites from the same application, with profiles, quotas and calendars for each entrance.

Does it integrate with our existing barriers?

CRONOS is compatible with new or existing infrastructure: barriers and gates are controlled by our electronic boards via relays. During the site survey we assess which of your existing equipment can be reused.

Can we charge for parking?

Yes. CRONOS accepts card, contactless or cash payments, as well as virtual POS. If you also need to manage a motorhome service area and its services, see GESTVAN.

Is CRONOS the same as ATISCAM?

Yes. CRONOS is the current name of our access control system for car parks and sites, previously marketed as ATISCAM.
